A NOTE FROM ME
Happy Wednesday. Off to a strong start — spilled coffee all over a new white shirt I got delivered literally an hour ago.
I always feel like people try to show how perfect everything is. I wish I could be one of them, but I’m definitely more Bridget Jones-coded. Maybe it’s the imperfections that make things actually interesting.
Anyway — today is about Nou. One of those brands I feel really inspired by right now. Curious what you think.
Always, lovely to have you here

THE ONE TO WATCH
NOU
NOU is one of my current favorites. Started by LA-based Alexia Ioannou — equal parts vintage obsession and shoe addiction — it’s one of those brands where the shoes are already so good (creative, a little extra, very fun), but somehow that’s not even the whole point. It’s the world around them that really pulls you in. So… let’s talk about it.

ABOUT
Founded by Alexia Ioannou as a curated vintage shoe platform — later evolving into an original footwear label with its first collection in 2025.
Rooted in a distinct aesthetic: nostalgic, bold, and hyper-feminine — drawing from early 2000s glamour, vintage silhouettes, and statement dressing.
Why their POV matters: Each drop feels collectible — limited runs, handcrafted in Portugal, designed to stand out rather than blend in.
WHY THEY STAND OUT
The more extra, the better
Minimalism had its moment. NOU goes the other way — color, texture, statement. A little more fun, a little less serious.Built to be collected
Limited drops, not endless options. You don’t just buy once — you keep coming back.A world you want in on
A little nostalgic, a little playful, not too polished. Less campaign, more vibe.
You love the shoe — but why does the brand work, too?
NOU is a world you step into. A little nostalgic, a little playful — never too polished. It doesn’t try too hard, and maybe that’s exactly why it stays with you.
Here’s what that looks like:
Entertains before it sells
Nothing really feels like a campaign. More like something you’re watching — a joke, a reference, a moment. And somehow… you end up wanting the shoe.It has its own language
noubies, “no free feet pics”, “made just for you”. Not polished. Not trying to be. Just direct, playful, a little cheeky — like someone talking to you, not at you.
You come for the shoe, but you stay for everything around it. And that’s what makes it work. It feels less like a brand growing, and more like a world unfolding.
TO FOLLOW
SAVED
It’s about the small details.

I love small details in products — especially in clothing. It’s the things you don’t expect that make something feel considered. The kind of detail you notice once… and then can’t unsee.
Arakii → embossed leather logo on the back. Subtle, but so good.
Chanel → the CC in the smallest places, never too loud. Especially this collection.
Dairy Boy → winning the tag game right now — old-school, creative. Don’t skip the tags.
One Mile → even the wash tag becomes something you look at twice.
